We are delighted to announce that Stephen Jones has joined the Pennyworth Board as Non-Executive Director and Chair.
Stephen has over 30 years experience in the financial services sector. He has worked in a range of operating, financial and strategic roles across retail and wholesale banking in the UK, EMEA and North America at Santander, Barclays, Citigroup and Schroders, and as a Senior Adviser in the private equity industry and portfolio company Chair or Board director for Cerberus Global Investment Advisors. He served as the inaugural CEO of the banking industry trade association UK Finance from 2017 to 2020.
He is currently Vice Chair of the Board of UK fintech OneBanks, Chair of the Audit Committee of the Financial Times Financial Literacy & Inclusion Campaign and Rear Commodore of the Seaview Yacht Club, a thriving 1,800 member sailing club on the Isle of Wight. He is married with 3 grown-up children.
Stephen has been advising the Pennyworth management team for some months as they prepare to become authorised as a UK bank and formally joined the Board on 11th April 2022.
